"This is the best program I've ever seen. It meets curriculum and arts standards for 4th grade and kindergarten. Best of all these programs perfectly address character development and community."

"Thank you so much for an informative, action-packed, authentic experience. The children learned so much from our time together. I can't believe how much I took away from the experience. Bob, you really have a way with children. You're a gift!"

"For the past seven years, Robert Vetter has been contracted by the fourth grade teachers at Mt. Sinai Elementary School to bring his Journeys Into American Indian Territory program into our classrooms. We invite his group back every year because we are so impressed with this program. In fact, we do not let him leave without booking his program for the following school year.
Mr. Vetter's program engages all our students. We are often told by students that this is one of the best experiences in fourth grade. Journeys Into American Indian Territory enhances students' knowledge through role playing, games, and crafts. The entire day is hands-on where students rotate through a museum, storytelling, craft making, Native American game playing, and realistic Iroquois Government role playing. We love the program since we do not need to bus our students to a seperate location. Their entire school day consists of this 'field study' trip done in house.
I highly recommend this program as an excellent resource connection to our Social Studies curriculum."

Comments About Our Virtual/Online Programs
“My school participated in an online Journeys program on May 19 and 20, 2020. The program was phenomenal! Our 2nd grade students were able to not only see how a tipi was set up, but they got to go inside and learn about all the Plains Region artifacts! The presenters not only taught our students facts about the Indians, but also told us stories about their adventures and the importance of storytelling to the Native Peoples. This program fit into our social studies curriculum perfectly, it helped to make our curriculum come to life! Our 70 students were truly engaged throughout the program and I will definitely have the program again next year, whether it is live at our school or virtual! Thank you Bob and Maddi for a wonderful experience!”

“We were delighted to be able to continue our school's long standing relationship with Journeys during our students' remote learning experience. It was wonderful that our students could still see and learn how a tipi is constructed, and that they could still learn so much through Journeys' collection of artifacts. Of course, Maddi's stories continued to be a big hit with the students!”

“The 4th graders of the T. Baldwin Demarest Elementary School in Old Tappan, NJ, thoroughly enjoyed an ‘in school field trip’ with ‘Journeys Into American Indian Territory’ for the past two years. This year, due to COVID19, we had a two day ‘Virtual Field Trip.’ It was fantastic and exceeded our expectations! Bob and Maddie’s extraordinary program captured the students’ attention the entire time. Bob’s knowledge is amazing, and he knows just how to relate to 4th graders. Watching Bob build a tipi was one of the highlights of the program! Maddie is the ultimate storyteller, enthralling us with her animated stories. We HIGHLY recommend this virtual program!”
- Sharyn DeGregory for the 4th Grade Team
“Journeys into American Indian Territory created a fabulous virtual program for our third graders this spring. Bob and Maddi are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and lively presenters who quickly developed a rapport with our students! As part of the Plains Indians program ,they built a tipi, sat around a fire, told traditional stories, showed different tools and objects up close , taught a traditional game and even went on a virtual "vision quest" with our students. They left plenty of time to answer our students' many questions as well! It is amazing how they were able to hold our student's attention on Zoom and engage them in the activities for several hours! Both third grade teachers and students rave about this program and recommend it highly!”
